This second annual event is a running festival for all ages, with a competitive 8K Run, a 5K Fun Walk and a 1/4 mile Kid's Fun Run. The certified 8K course is fast, flat and spectator friendly. It traverses the coastal v The race benefits the new Riverview Charter School in Beaufort. Officially opened in August of 2009, Riverview Charter School is a FREE, public school authorized by the Beaufort County School District and open to all Beaufort County students. Last year, we raised over $10,000 for Riverview, and we hope to double that this year. 100% of the proceeds will go towards providing the teachers and students the tools they need to excel in the classroom. The event also includes a 5K Fun Walk and a Kid's 1/4 Mile Fun Run. The running events are followed by a post race party for all participants and then an oyster roast, open to everyone. Our goal is to make this a fun, competitive and memorable annual event for Beaufort.
